It is increasingly difficult for public and private organizations to provide excellent services due to the rapid growth of the population and the need for urban and suburban mobility. The process involves prioritizing the implementation of new tools that facilitate and improve the user experience.
As SONDA supports the digital transformation in Chile and considers the growing expansion of cities across the country, we work collaboratively with the Chilean Railway Company. Together, we work to modernize and improve its operations.
As part of its expansion plan, the company aims to provide passenger train service over more than 1,000 kilometers of railway lines by 2027, with an estimated 150 million passengers annually. This project is part of the government program "Chile on Rails" which aims to contribute to economic and urban development in the ten regions where the Chilean Railway Company is currently operating.
Multimodal Collection System: The solution
In this expansion context, the state company will need a new collection system that provides flexibility, modularity, and scalability. It will optimize its financial and accounting processes.
This new system will have the highest technological and innovation standards, positively impacting the user experience, allowing them to have access to platforms and charging points, as well as innovative payment options, where technological integrations will allow the payment of the passage through credit and debit cards, QR codes through Smartphones and Contactless technologies comply with all current regulations in the country.
Furthermore, these new tools will allow the Chilean Railway Company to collect relevant information regarding user loyalty. Through this program, the Chilean Railway Company will be able to develop services that complement and enhance the user experience based on the needs and preferences of the users.
