Revenues from operations outside Chile amounted US$ 771.2 million (4.2% YoY), representing a 56.3% of total consolidated revenues.
The EBITDA margin was 12.1%, highlighting the Chilean operation that reached an EBITDA margin of 17.3%. The Brazilian operation achieved consecutive improvements in its EBITDA margin through the year, to reach an EBITDA margin of 7.6% in the fourth quarter.
Business closed achieved a significant increase of 24.8% to reach US$ 1,327.9 million, driven particularly by Brazil where business closed grew by 102.2% compared to the previous year.
Business opportunities (“the pipeline”) reached US$ 3,241.8 million, up 14.1% compared to 2016.
Regarding SONDA’s results, Mr. Raúl Véjar, CEO of the Company, said: “2017 was a difficult year across the region, which imposed challenges on us that we had to confront and appropriately resolve during the year. The Brazilian operation achieved margin improvements as a result of action plans executed during the year and the recovery that is beginning to be perceived in the Brazilian economy. In the commercial side, we had a significant increase in business closed, which suggest a favorable outlook for 2018”.
