SONDA strengthens its enterprise cloud service with a Microsoft agreement

Santiago, March 10, 2016. SONDA continues to strengthen its enterprise cloud services by being part of the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) program at Microsoft, which is an initiative by the North American company to provide its strategic partners with a wide range of products that operate in the Microsoft cloud. This agreement was reaffirmed during the visit of Mr. Aziz Benmalek, the Corporate Vice President for Hosting and Cloud Services at Microsoft, who was visiting Chile to hold business meetings to consolidate Microsoft cloud computing services and to seal partnerships with regional IT service providers, which includes SONDA.

Microsoft has negotiated partnerships to provide its customers in all corners of the world with the benefits of its services in the cloud. Therefore, the Cloud Service Provider program provides consumers with access to a service provider such as SONDA, who can ensure the full life cycle of cloud services from Microsoft. This covers deployment, management, billing and local support for the complete portfolio of solutions in the Microsoft cloud: Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics.

“As customers migrate to the cloud, they require comprehensive cloud services, to deliver the flexibility and scalability required between the three cloud environments, which are private on the customer’s equipment, private on the supplier’s equipment, and public equipment,” remarked Mr. Aziz Benmalek, Corporate VP for Hosting & Cloud Services at Microsoft Corp. “SONDA has shown dedication when providing managed services that include Azure and our Office 365 productivity solution, which support the business of our customers and partners in common.”

Since 2010, SONDA has led the first technology wave in the region, by implementing a comprehensive range of cloud services, supported by a network of data centers that includes two Tier 3 data centers in Santiago and Sao Paulo. Currently, SONDA provides services ranging from providing and implementing cloud infrastructure through to services delivered entirely in the cloud, such as SWAD (high demand web sites, for their acronym in Spanish) and virtual servers, that provide customers with more efficient, agile and secure computing capacity and scalable IT services.

SONDA also participates in the Cloud OS Network, which is a worldwide group of IT Service providers that are closely associated with Microsoft, and provide their customers with hybrid cloud solutions and Microsoft Azure solutions. SONDA has a Latin American network of data centers and is part of the Cloud OS Network, so can implement private or hybrid clouds for its customers based on Azure technology, which natively integrates public and private clouds. It makes the best of both worlds: the scale and flexibility of the public cloud, with the control, security and compliance of the private cloud. This eliminates obstacles to the cloud, such as “data nationality” and licensing.

Mr. Sergio Rademacher is Corporate Manager for data center and Cloud Services at SONDA and he indicated that “the visit of the Senior Microsoft Executive, Mr. Aziz Benmalek, to reaffirm our agreement, provides our customers with access to a broad portfolio of Microsoft services in the cloud, together with a reliable partner that can take responsibility for the full life cycle of these services.”

SONDA is a pioneer in enterprise cloud services in Latin America.
