Santiago, November 16, 2017. A new index within the family of Dow Jones Sustainability Indices was launched on October 18 covering the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA in Spanish). The Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index (DJSI MILA Pacific Alliance) is the first of its kind in the region, and was launched by S&P Dow Jones Indexes (S&P DJI), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), RobecoSAM and stock exchanges in the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA).
This new index tracks the performance of companies with the highest sustainability ratings in the Pacific Alliance region as assessed by RobecoSAM, which covers Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The DJSI MILA Pacific Alliance provides investors with an objective benchmark for managing a sustainability investment portfolio for the region.
SONDA has been included within the select group of companies that will comprise the newly launched DJSI MILA Pacific Alliance. A total of 147 companies from Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru were considered for this first version, and of these 42 companies were selected to join the new index.
SONDA stands out as the only company belonging to the Software & Services sector within this index. This new recognition compliments the recognition received during September, when SONDA was incorporated for the first time into the DJSI Chile (see SONDA S.A. is included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2017), due to the company’s leadership in sustainability matters and its commitment to incorporate environmental, social and corporate governance best practices into its procedures.
