SONDA´s revenues reach US$836.2 million in the first nine  months of 2019, growing 6.8%

October 29th, 2019 – SONDA, the leading Latin American network of IT Services and Solutions, reported its results for the first nine months of 2019, in which the consolidated revenues reached $608,913 million, equivalent to US$836.2 million, EBITDA totaled $65,943 million, equivalent to US$90.6 million, and net income was $23,191 million, equivalent to US$31.8 million, mainly influenced by the sale of one subsidiary.

In reporting currency, revenues increased 6.8% compared to the same period of the previous year, driven by the growth of most of the regions where the company operates, highlighting Brazil with 13.7% and Other Latin American Countries (OPLA) with 13.4%.
Also, during the third quarter, the growth of revenues in Brazil stood out with 22.7%.

EBITDA registered an increase of 5.7% in the first nine months of the year, particularly influenced by the growth registered in Brazil (+52.1%) and OPLA (+6.2%). Likewise, during the third quarter, OPLA showed greater dynamism, growing 17.4% compared to the third quarter of 2018.

The EBITDA margin for the period was 10.8%, highlighting the improvements in profitability of the operation in Brazil (+170 basis points) during the first nine months of 2019 compared to 2018. Also, during the third quarter, OPLA showed an expansion of 250 basis points YoY.

In commercial terms, closed deals reached US$1,105 million, which represents an increase of 18.4%, compared to the previous year. The highest level of commercial activity was registered in Chile and Brazil markets, which showed an increase of 47.8% and 20.0%, respectively, during the first nine months of 2019.

New business opportunities (“pipeline”) reached US$3,584 million, representing an increase of 11.1% compared to the figures reported at the end of 2018. The growth of new business opportunities highlighted in Mexico (+143.0%) and Brazil (+33.1%).

Regarding the results, the CEO of SONDA, Raul Vejar pointed out “In 2019 we have strongly promoted what we set out in our strategic plan for the coming years. In this way, we recovered our capacity for growth in revenues and results during the first nine months, which has been accompanied by greater dynamism in commercial activity, mainly in Brazil and Chile.” He added that “although we have faced greater challenges in our operation in Mexico, the potential of this market is very interesting and we are optimistic about the result of the actions we are carrying out there. Likewise, we continue to strengthen ​​the innovation and transformation areas, keys in the value proposition for our clients.”
