SONDA brings future medical technology closer to doctors and patients

SONDA participated in the 2019 international conference on Digital Transformation in Healthcare by presenting a strategic vision that combines technological contributions with decisive support for the cultural change required among various participants in the health sector.

SONDA successfully presented advanced solutions based on Artificial Intelligence that can make the medicine of the future a reality today, at the 2019 international conference on Digital Transformation in Healthcare organized by Seminarium.

The event brought together prominent national and international experts, who analyzed the momentous impact of digital transformation on various participants in the health sector. This opportunity was used to emphasize the importance of progressing toward an adaptation culture. To correctly using technologies that optimize the physician-patient relationship. To maximizing prevention measures to deal with the cyber-security risks that are currently threatening businesses.

Mr. Christian Onetto, Vice President of Transformation at SONDA, gave a presentation where he called for an understanding that modern organizations in the health sector and its strategic partners “must immediately adapt to these change processes, which not only involve adopting new technologies, but also accepting a cultural evolution, which requires developing new knowledge and skills and empowering new leaders.”

He emphasized “Companies should be disruptive at every opportunity and should not fear experimentation and failure. Either we are disruptive now, or we will replaced in the short term.”

His presentation was called “Data Explosion”, where he emphasized that “Today, patients are huge data providers, the so-called ‘oil of our time’. An agile and efficient analysis of this data will improve both research and diagnostic accuracy.”

“Simultaneously, we must understand that the cornerstone is cultural change. The approach adopted by all those involved, such as businesses, service providers, doctors and patients, needs to change. We need to build an environment containing new relationships, skills and knowledge, where each person adopts a ‘digital mentality’, without neglecting vital factors such as agile and timely data management and cyber-security.”

Mr. Oscar Cerda, Health Unit Manager at SONDA, said “These specialized meetings are an excellent opportunity to publicize the advanced solutions that we are developing and have offered to the market, which support digital transformation for health sector providers.”

He said “We currently have innovative tools based on Artificial Intelligence that optimize the clinical, logistical and administrative management of clinics, hospitals and healthcare centers in Latin America, bringing the medicine of the future closer to doctors and patients.”

“For example we recognize FONASA’s achievements using IA and neural networks, which optimize the evaluation of medical leave reimbursements, speed up the corresponding payments, automatically detect irregular cases and achieve 96% effectiveness.”
