Mexico is the second biggest IT market in Latin America with average annual growth estimated at 6.7% for the 2009-2014 period. This translates into an average annual investment of approximately US$ 14.3 billion, according to IDC figures.

SONDA’s operations in Mexico began in 2004. It now has an important portfolio of clients in different activity sectors, becoming one of the 10 most important IT Services integrators in the country. The Mexican company NextiraOne was purchased on September, 2010. It is one of the largest integrators rendering virtualization, communications and security services in Mexico.

During the 2010 fiscal year, SONDA’s revenues in the country grew by 90.5%, reaching US$ 81.1 million, due to higher revenue reported in all the lines of business. The 239.8% increase in the revenue from the Platforms line of business, which amounted to a total of US$ 42.4 million, was remarkable.

The operating profit was US$ 9.2 million as of December, 2010, increasing by 99.9%. The EBITDA reached US$ 10.5 million, increasing by 101.7%. The operating margin was 11.4% and the EBITDA margin 12.9%.

Revenue in Mexico during 2010 represented 8.5% of the consolidated revenue of the company and business deals for US$ 29.1 million were closed.
