After 36 years, SONDA is still the leading company in the IT industry in Chile, an enviable position considering the fierce competition existing. SONDA has a solid, broad and diversified client base in Chile.
Revenue in Chile amounted to CLP 199,309 million (US$ 425.9 million) in 2010, growing by 9.9% with respect to the figures reported in 2009, due to higher sales in the Platforms line (+20,5%) and the Applications line (+6,5%). The operating profit amounted to CLP 34,537 million (US$ 73.7 million), an increase of 13.7% compared to the previous year, whereas the operating margin was 17.3% and the EBITDA margin was 24.2%. The EBITDA was CLP 48,261 million (US$ 103.1 million) an increase of 4.2% with respect to the foregoing period and in line with the improved operating result.
The Chilean market represented 44.7% of SONDA’s revenue and 62.7% of the EBITDA in consolidated terms. From the commercial standpoint, the Chilean operation closed business deals for a total of US$ 309.4 million.
