![]() 2010 was a very good year for our company. Our growth and consolidation as the leading Latin American IT services company went hand in hand with the obtainment of excellent results. Revenue reached a record figure of CLP 445,481 million (US$ 951.9 million), representing an increase of 19.1% with respect to the previous year, whereas the operating result was CLP 58,118 million (US$ 124.2 million) and the EBITDA US$ 76,976 million (US$ 164.5 million), with increases of 21.3% and 12.4% respectively. Moreover, profits were CLP 33,546 million (US$ 71.7 million), 6.4% more than in the previous fiscal year, despite an unexpected tax burden in Brazil Following the trend of the last few years, we have continued expanding our operations outside Chile, producing revenue of US$ 526 million, 27.7% more than last year, constituting 55.3% of total income. Performance in Mexico and Brazil, the two main markets in the region, was particularly significant. Operations in Brazil were especially dynamic, generating revenue of US$ 351.1 million with 24.2% growth. The operating result also grew by 29.7% and the EBITDA by 28.1%. Thus, we continue to consolidate our presence in a territory that accounts for nearly half of the total IT investment in Latin America. In Mexico, on the other hand, revenue increased by 90.5%, reaching US$ 81.1 million, operational results increased by 99.9% and the EBITDA by 101.7%. From a commercial standpoint, we closed new business deals for US$ 1,038.3 million, which represents an increase of 55.3% with respect to 2009. We must point out that the closure of new IT services contracts, SONDA’s main business focus, reached US$ 574.6 million, increasing by 50.6%. This is a very significant figure which reflects the diligence of our sales effort. In line with the US$ 500 million investment plan approved for the 2010-2012 three-year period, the company made five new acquisitions, for the equivalent of US$ 91.5 million, to boost its regional presence, namely: the companies Softeam, Telsinc and Kaizen in Brazil, NextiraOne in Mexico and Ceitech in Argentina. Three of them are important stakeholders in the virtualization, communications and cloud computing business in Latin America. In line with our role as agents of innovation, during the year we launched the Cloud Computing business unit, through which we generated a comprehensive offer of services for companies and corporations based on a network of virtual platforms. A milestone that merits special attention is the alliance we forged in 2010 with Autodesk, a world leader in 3D design and engineering software, becoming its Corporate Business Partner in Latin America. We see a future that abounds in opportunities. The IT industry is still a powerful motor in the world, and particularly in the Latin American region. Hence, our capabilities and preeminent position put us on a sound footing for ongoing development and creating value for both our clients and our shareholders. We would like to extend special acknowledgement to the SONDA staff in Chile, who in a gesture of solidarity reflecting our corporate culture, requested that the budget assigned to the celebration of the company’s anniversary should go to help the victims of the February 27 earthquake. Thus, we donated these funds to Fondo Esperanza, an organization that uses these resources for extending loans to small entrepreneurs in the affected regions, benefiting approximately 400 families in an initial stage. On behalf of the Board of Directors and the executive staff of the company, I would like to thank our clients and shareholders for believing in SONDA and all our workers from Mexico to Patagonia for making these achievements possible.
